Hawk 289 kit car build

On a very wet Saturday morning, my chassis/body unit in BRG arrived. Four sturdy friends helped move it from the back of the carrier and into the garage. At that time of day, cans of beer seemed inappropriate and my friends were all happy to accept tea or coffee. The body rested on four axle stands, protected by small squares of (green) carpet. And there it remained for quite some time. Now it rests on its wheels, waiting for the next phase of construction.
